Wearing Hosiery At Work Update

So, other than a coworker asking me if I biked to work, my hosiery has not brought up many conversations; and not surprisingly, not any conversions.

The thing that bothered me the most is the fact that I seem to have very rough hands. Most of the joy of wearing hosiery is being able to touch my own hosiery clad legs every now and then. If I cannot do that, then it is almost pointless, unless I plan to wear support hosiery for circulation improvement.

I am not completely certain about how it happened, but I think that it is becasue my fingers are constantly handling new plastic, which absorbs, or at least removes, hand oils. Imagine touching a new napkin every minute. Sooner or later, your fingers are going to get really dry. I believe that it is the same with the plastic.

There is not much that I can do about it, though, except for maybe wear gloves. I think that I will try a pair of gloves to see what happens, since I have a spare pair of disposable gloves from my military days.

Updated Hosiery Advocate's Boutique

It was a bit of a frustration, because sales have dropped to an all time low, this year, and I am not clear on exactly what it takes to bring back business. The rest of my post has the details of the changes, which are useful only if you shop there.

Hosiery Absorbs Moisture

Here is an interesting article that I want to read later: Yarn Conditioning Process : An Overview.

Hosiery enthusiasts are so accustomed to saying that nylon and spandex do not absorb moisture, but that seems to be untrue. It can absorb even the humidity in the air, which impacts yarn quality.

That does not mean that it can absorb enough moisture to cause problems with germs, but it is still worth looking into.

My Factory Job And Hosiery

So far, it has been a safe positive experience.

1 guy asked me if I biked there. I stated that I did not, and that I just like to dress this way. I never explained it much more. I think that it might be interesting to explain, but it would not be necessary.

An interesting aspect of wearing hosiery every day for a job is needing to think about what to wear. I do not want to wear my favourites, but I do not want to wear poor quality hosiery.

Also, since I wear steel toe safety work boots, I am tempted to convert several pairs of my hosiery into footless hosiery, otherwise my hosiery will wear out quickly.

Wearing Hosiery And Shorts At My New Job

It is not often that we men get to wear shorts and hosiery in public. I get to wear it to my new job, which I got on Tuesday, and started on Wednesday. The atmosphere is extremely casual. People wear shorts and jogging pants.

It is a factory job. I will operate a machine and keep it running to produce plastic bags.

Tomorrow, I have another job interview, so I will wear pants tonight, but I hope to wear sheers and shorts during the next shift.

I would love to read your thoughts on this! :^)

Epilated About A Week Ago

With summer here, I felt that it was somewhat inappropriate for me to constantly wear black completely opaque hosiery. It is fine for when I expect to be isolated and not interact with people in a significant way. I could be lazy on those days, but when I interact with people, I want to be able to dress in a lighter summery way.

Of course that means epilating. I spent probably an hour in a bath tub without water doing that epilating. It was painful, but it did not seem as painful as when I first tried it.

I think that it feels less painful, because of the technique. I try to not pull out a bunch of hair at the same time. I try to move the epilator in small strokes, and do a few hairs at a time. Also, when the small area gets removed, I try a completely different area to give the nerves a rest. Removing a few hairs does not cause problems, but removing all the hairs at once can create lasting pain.

Is this what you experience too?

Chose Hosiery To Review For Oya Bodywear

Do you remember me asking you what hosiery you wanted me to review? None of you responded! :^( So, I figured that the specific brands and styles and colours were not important to you, and that you just wanted to read a review on whatever I chose. Fair enough! The rest of my post tells you all.
